A seven-year-old karting talent from Crickhowell turned on the style recently to win an event at a national championship.

Henry Hales showcased his skills amidst challenging weather conditions at the British Championship Round 3 in the Comer class.

The event was held recently at Warden Law, Sunderland.

Despite the pouring rain, Henry navigated his bambino kart with finesse, clinching victory in spectacular fashion.

The wet and slippery track posed a formidable challenge for the competitors, but Henry proved to be unstoppable.

After securing pole position, he maintained his lead throughout the race before crossing the finish line with an impressive 8.5-second margin.

The victory marks Henry’s first British Championship win of the season, adding another accolade to his burgeoning racing career.

He also claimed victory in both the Mansell Championship and the UK Kart Series Championship last year.

In a bid to support Henry’s promising journey in motorsport, fans and enthusiasts are encouraged to engage with him on social media.
